Natural Ways to Cure Bad Breath

Halitosis? Not cute. A horrible mouth odor when talking to friends, family, or colleagues is not something we ever want to happen to us. How to get bad breath is no hidden secret. Our diet and how well we manage our oral healthcare play huge roles in having bad breath. Poor oral hygiene is probably most important. Here are some tips to keep the stink breath at bay:

  1. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cool water in the mouth helps everything, especially after you have eaten. Washing your food down with water will help remove the excess food particles, which can cause your breath to not smell so pleasant.
  2. Brush after every meal. This is obvious, but most people avoid it. We recommend this especially after coffee, garlic and, of course, onions!
  3. Chewing a piece of lemon or an orange peel will help. The acid is bad, but if you just use a small portion, the peel will go a long way.
  4. Eat more basil, mint, and cilantro. No, these aren’t ingredients for this master meal we plan to cook. These easy ingredients will help you fight bad breath without having to chew gum, which most of the time includes sugar.
